Have you received a serious diagnosis — and feel there might be more to getting healthy again than just medical treatment?

Are you curious about the psychological, emotional, and relational aspects that might influence health and recovery?

This page is about Radical Remission Coaching — designed for people who want to engage their inner world as part of their journey to health.

What Is Radical Remission?

The term “radical remission” refers to medically documented cases where individuals have recovered from life-threatening illnesses — even when told recovery was impossible. These are not miracle stories, but real, verified cases found in the medical literature.

Some people pursue conventional treatments. Others use alternative approaches.

And some seem to recover without doing anything specific — except experiencing a profound internal shift.

A Personal Story

Let me share something from my own life.

A distant relative of mine was diagnosed with late-stage lung cancer and told there was nothing doctors could do. He was a deeply religious man, and during a spiritual prayer ritual, he had a strong sense that he was being healed.

Later, tests confirmed: the cancer was gone.

Researchers from across the country came to study his case.

Years later, after the death of his beloved wife, he expressed a wish to “go with her.” Shortly after, he developed stomach cancer — and passed away.

Coincidence? Perhaps. But I was deeply moved and intrigued by the mystery of the mind-body connection.

What the Research Shows

Across thousands of documented radical remission cases, researchers have noticed a common pattern:

A significant shift in identity or self-concept tends to occur before remission.

This doesn’t mean that changing your mindset will always lead to remission — but it does highlight the power of internal transformation.

Over the past few decades, I’ve had the privilege of working with people who were recovering from serious illnesses. While I make no medical claims, I’ve witnessed incredible psychological and emotional growth, pain relief, and — in some cases — unexpected remission.

What I Do (and Don’t Do)

Let me be very clear:

  • I am not a medical doctor.
  • I do not offer medical treatment or advice.
  • I never interfere with your medical care or team.
  • I make no promises about curing any disease.

What I offer is this:

I help people open the door to their inner world — their thoughts, emotions, beliefs, identity, purpose, and relationships — and explore how these might play a role in their health.

This work is deeply inspired by the four-quadrant model from integral philosopher Ken Wilber, which shows that health and illness are influenced not only by biology and environment (the domains modern medicine focuses on), but also by subjective experience and cultural context.

Modern medicine is powerful — especially in emergencies or for managing physical pathologies. But it often leaves out the “I” and the “we” — your meaning-making, your emotional world, your story, your connections.

Who This Work Is For

I’ve worked with:

  • People recovering from cancer, autoimmune illness, and chronic pain.
  • Individuals who have completed medical treatment but feel there’s unfinished inner work.
  • People curious about the role of emotions, beliefs, and identity in recovering.
  • Coaches or therapists who want to learn how to support others in this kind of work.

Sometimes, the result is greater peace of mind. Sometimes it’s relief from pain.

And occasionally, people experience remission. These things do happen.
