Is anger affecting your relationships, your work, or your peace of mind?

Do you find yourself overreacting, feeling out of control, or regretting things you’ve said or done in the heat of the moment?

Anger is the #1 issue I help clients with in my private practice. Both men and women come to me when they realize that their anger isn’t working for them — it’s hurting their relationships, their well-being, and their ability to live the life they want.

When Anger Becomes a Problem

Anger, in itself, isn’t bad. It’s a natural emotion. But many people struggle with:

  • Irritability or frequent outbursts in situations that don’t truly call for it
  • Misinterpreting others’ actions or intentions as personal attacks
  • Disproportionate responses — feeling justified in their anger, but recognizing that it’s too intense
  • Displaced anger — taking out work frustration on a partner, or dragging anger from a past relationship into a current one
  • Difficulty calming down after an episode of rage or losing emotional control

If this sounds familiar, it’s not because you’re flawed — it’s because of how you think and how you relate to whats going on in your body. But that can change.

Whats Really Going On ?

Many clients I work with describe having a “short fuse.” Their anger ramps up quickly, and by the time they notice it, they’re already in full reaction mode. A helpful analogy is a train:

If you realize you’re on the wrong track when the train is going 5 miles per hour, it’s easy to stop and shift direction.

If you realize it at 100 miles per hour, it’s nearly impossible.

Part of our work together is to slow the ( metaphorical ) train down, so you can catch your anger sooner, and make better choices before it takes over.

How I Help You Work with Anger

I don’t view thoughts and feelings as a disease. This isn’t therapy in the traditional sense.

I offer psychoeducation and guided emotional skills training. I act as a teacher and guide — and I see you as a student and explorer.

Together, we’ll uncover:

  • How your mind constructs anger through interpretation, storytelling, and meaning-making.
  • What beliefs and assumptions about others or life might be fueling your reactions.
  • How to reframe situations so you respond with clarity.
  • Ways to extend your “fuse” so you have more time to choose your response.
  • Practices for self-compassion and emotional regulation.

Sometimes we go even deeper, exploring your philosophy of life, your relationship with yourself, and how you see other people.

Real Results, Real Impact

This is the only topic where I’ve consistently received messages from family members thanking me for the work I’ve done with their loved ones. They’ve told me it’s changed not just one person’s behavior — but their entire family dynamic.

Ready to Do the Work?

If you’re ready to make a real change, two things matter:

  1. The decision must come from you.
  2. You must be willing to look inward.

When we’re stuck in anger, it’s easy to focus on others — what they did wrong, how unjust the world is. But real transformation happens when you shift your attention to your own interpretations, your own emotional habits, and your own responsibility.

If you’re ready for that, there’s a very good chance I can help you.

Does This Resonate ?

TESTIMONIALS

I visited Joergen hoping to clear some deep-seated feelings of anger that I felt were affecting my health. After one session, I experienced a very pleasant shift as if a weight had been lifted from me. Others noticed a change in me too. For those of you hesitant to try this style of hypnotherapy, let me encourage you. His style is more akin to a guided meditation than what I had expected. There is no loss of autonomy or awareness. I can remember feeling deeply grounded and peaceful after the session. This feeling of peace lasted for quite some months afterwards. I was so surprised by the positive effects of this one session, that I have since recommended Joergen to family and friends.” Cheers
